Accounts are for grown-ups

Only adults can make a StoryPlays account. We never ask for a child’s name, age, photo or voice, and there’s nowhere in the books for a child to type anything.

What we keep

• Your name, email address and a scrambled form of your password (we can’t read it).
• The books on your shelf, the page you reached in each, and when you finished them, so you can carry on where you left off.
• What you bought and your Club membership dates.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach us; we only see the last four digits and the card type, so you can recognise it.

What we don’t do

• No adverts, and no advertising or tracking cookies. The website uses one cookie to keep you signed in.
• We don’t sell or share your details with anyone except the services that run StoryPlays (hosting, email and Stripe).

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from the Account page at any time. It ends any Club membership straight away and removes your shelf and reading history. Stripe keeps records of past payments for as long as the law requires.
